Today is Lara’s sixtieth birthday, a special day that will culminate in an event she will always treasure – her son is giving an important solo piano recital. Viktor, whose career has always been his assertive mother’s sole focus, remains elusive, however, and her repeated attempts to get through to him come to nothing.
